Anjouan writes the date into the number
An Anjouan licence number looks like ALSI-202602030-FI2. Strip the prefix and the suffix and the digits carry the issue date: two digits of sequence, then the year, then the month, then a serial. The example resolves to February 2026.
There is an older nine-digit form as well — ALSI-132405048-FI3 — which uses a two-digit year in the same position: 24, then 05, giving May 2024. Both formats were checked against register entries before any date on this site was derived from them.
Curaçao does not
A Curaçao number such as OGL/2024/1676/0905 contains a year, and it is tempting to read it as the issue year. It is not. One entry in this catalogue carries exactly that number against an issue date of 19 May 2025, read from the authority's own portal.
So every Curaçao date on this site comes from the portal and nowhere else, and the date it was read is printed beside it. Where the portal could not be read, the field says the date is not published rather than falling back to the number.

Why bother
Because it is the only way to sort a list of new casinos honestly. Without a date the order is an assertion; with one it is a fact anyone can re-derive from the same public sources. Every other ordering in this field — popularity, editorial pick, featured — is a claim the reader has no way to check.
What a date still does not tell you
That the brand is that age. A licence is issued to a company and covers whatever domains the company puts under it, which may include sites running for years. The date is a hard fact about a register entry and a soft signal about a website, and that is why the launch register prints two more dates beside it.
The other guides
Alongside this page in the same section: why domain age lies, wagering, worked through, what triggers a document request and the three stages of a payout. Each one takes the same twenty-three casinos and the same three dates, and asks a different question of them.
Further out: new crypto casinos, the launch register and every casino in the catalogue. The catalogue behind all of them is the same, which is why the numbers on one page never contradict the numbers on another.
The section this page belongs to is the guides, and the whole catalogue with every date attached is on the launch register. The front page carries the short list of new crypto casinos by licence date.
